The Ultimate Ovulation Support Brew — Hydrating, Nourishing, and Soothing
Ovulation is the shortest, most vibrant phase of your cycle—a time when your energy peaks, your confidence shines, and your body is ripe with creativity. But if you’ve ever felt sluggish, dry, or off during this time, you’re not alone. I used to wonder why my skin felt parched and my mood dipped right in the middle of my cycle. Turns out, I wasn’t giving my body the hydration and nourishment it truly needed.
This blend is my answer to that. It’s become one of my favourite ways to support my ovulatory phase from the inside out—especially if you’re estrogen sensitive.
What You’ll Need (Dried Herb Ratios)
1 tsp Nettle leaf – deeply nourishing, rich in iron and minerals
1 tsp Spearmint – cooling, helps clear excess androgens and supports digestion
1 tsp Mallow flower – moistening, soothes inflammation and dryness
1 tsp Lemon balm – calming, mood-supportive, and gently detoxifying
1 tsp Orange peel – uplifting, aids digestion and skin clarity
½ tsp Jasmine – floral, heart-soothing, and sensual
(Optional) Thin slice of fresh ginger – gently warming and stimulating without being overpowering
Method
Add all herbs to a quart-sized mason jar or French press.
Fill with filtered water and cover.
Let steep for 4–6 hours, or overnight, for a strong infusion.
Strain well and pour into a decanter.
Now comes the magic touch:
Add 1 cup aloe vera juice for extra hydration and gut support.
Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon to brighten and balance.
Sip this throughout the day at room temperature.
I love making a concentrated batch so I can dilute it later and customize each pour. The result? A hydrating, hormone-loving brew that feels like self-care in every sip.
⚠️ Contraindications
This blend is designed with hormone-sensitive bodies in mind, but a few notes to consider:
Not recommended during pregnancy due to the presence of nettle and spearmint.
Use caution if you have low blood pressure, as lemon balm can gently lower it further.
Always listen to your body and consult a practitioner if unsure.
✨ Pro Tip: Pair this with light movement, time in nature, and foods rich in zinc and vitamin C to really amplify your glow during ovulation.
